From
6th to 11th April 2008, "LIGHT+BUILDING",
one of the most important international events in the
world of Lighting, will take place in the Congress Centre
Messe in Frankfurt, Germany.
Light+Building is the event considered as the best reference
for the lighting industry looking for high quality standards
as well as the ability to meet the specific and ever changing
requirements and demand of the market.
Khatod will showcase the premier series of lenses created
with Fresnel technology, for superior lensing for our
customers’ requirements with products from this
latest generation, now on our website: www.khatod.com.
Khatod can create many solutions for Fresnel lenses by
using up-to-date mathematical computing procedures and
specific software for thermoplastic injection moulding
experimentation. The result is a high performing lens
complying with the most severe quality standards, while
remaining an economically viable product.

The
great benefit of this lens is that it’s very thin. The typical
lens curvature is created only by the optic surface without any
additional material used to make the lens.
Fresnel lenses can be obtained from ordinary lenses by sectioning
them in circular rings, starting from their optic axis centre
and considering only the rim (2 to 3 mm thickness) of every concentric
section.
The final result is a lens which looks like an old LP vinyl record
: a symmetry of concentric rings with different curvatures and
distances from the lens centre.
PL116140
- Progressive Lens 40 Degree
PL1161
series is conceived for “multichip” LED applications.
It gives a uniform light diffusion by using many light sources
linked together.
Lens
characteristics:
-
PC optical
- Fresnel technology
- Working temperature > 120°C
- Beam 40°
PL117206
- Flux Lens
PL1172
series complies with AR111 dimensional standards. It was developed
to obtain a single uniform light beam by mixing 9 light sources,
avoiding overlap of the 9 different light spots.
This lens can be used with the Khatod KHS111 heatsink.
Lens
characteristics:
-
Standard AR111
- Fresnel technology
- Working temperature > 120°C
- Beam 10°
- 9 LEDs
During
"LIGHT+BUILDING", Khatod will also present many new
lines of Microlenses, created for the new LEDs recently launched
on the market.
We look forward to seeing you at our Booth – Halle 4.1 Booth
F39 - where you can see our latest generation of lensing solutions.
