KHATOD Optpelectronic, manufacturer of Optoelectronic Components and Solutions, announces a new 3 and 5 mm Panel Light Pipe Series (KPS) to use with surface mounted or through-hole LEDs.
KPS Series main advantage is to enable to locate PCBs directly behind panels, with high efficiency light transmission and brightness even if a general purpose LEDs is used.
The special shape and molding process of such lens guarantees an optimal light diffusion on the entire surface and minimum losses of the light.

KPS Series can be easily assembled by hand from the front panel, into the mounting drilled hole ("press fit"), without any special tools: mounting is very simply, fast and cheap.
12 standard versions are available, and special lengths are possible on request.

KPL Series is molded from UL94 Clear Polycarbonate, that guarantees ESD and EMI protection against electrostatic and electromagnetic interference. Operating temperature is -60 +125°C.
Recommended LEDs are standard 3 and 5 mm THT LEDs (assembled both horizontal then vertical on PCB), as far as SMD TopLEDs and SideLEDs (catalogue available on request).
